Viime vuoden aikana tuli blogia päivitettyä todella vähän. Se oli enemmän neulontavuosi kuin nukkekotivuosi. Päätinkin laittaa tänne tavallisuudesta poiketen kuvia käsitöistäni.
Last year was more knitting year than miniature year. I decided to post here some photos even if this isn’ t a knitting blog.
Värjäsin myös lankoja aurinko- eli purkkivärjäyksellä. I also solar dyed some yarn.
Night comes with heavy steps through our land, calling. Sunlight, the earth forgets; shadows are falling. However dark the night, rising with candles bright, Santa Lucia! Santa Lucia!
Metsiin jo Pohjolan vaipan luo hanki, ja maa on valkean verhonsa vanki. Taivaisen hohteen tuo, Lucia valon suo, Santa Lucia, Santa Lucia.
Though long may be the night, hope, she is bringing, Hear now, the maid in white, silently winging, Hushed wonder in the air, Lights glowing in her hair, Santa Lucia! Santa Lucia!
Kiteet luo helmivyön valkoiseen kaapuun. Kätköstä talviyön luoksemme saapuu. Lucia seppelpää, juhlista hetki tää, saavuthan luoksemme, Pyhä Lucia.
”The darkness soon shall flee valleys in shadow, Sunlight I can foresee, over over the meadows, The sun will come again! Rise in the sky to reign!” Santa Lucia! Santa Lucia!
Helli Unelma delighted the cafe ’Luova’s customers by performing as Lucia-maiden.
Ihanan syksyisen sään innoittamana Ruusa, Pikku Rouva ja Aapo lähtivät pyöräretkelle.
Because it was wonderful, sunny autumn weather Ruusa, Little Lady and Aapowent on a bike ride.
Ja Aapo ja Pikku Rouva tulivat tandemilla perässä.
And Aapo and Little Lady came with a tandem behind.
Olipa mukava retki! Ensi kerralla otetaan kyllä eväätkin mukaan, totesi Ruusa. It was a really nice ride! Next time we must take along some picnic lunch too, said Ruusa.
Tervehdys pitkästä aikaa. Olen vuollut alkukesän aikana valamonruusun rungosta uuden pikkunuken, Ruusan.
Greetings for a long time. During the early summer, I carved a new little doll, Rose.
Nuken pää ja vartalo on vuoltu ruusupensaan rungosta. Kädet ja jalat on huovutettu. Ruusa muuttanee asumaan Pikku rouvan ja Aapon luo.
Dolls head and body are carved from the trunk of a rose bush Rosa ’Splendens’. Arms and legs are felted. I think Rose will live with Little Lady and Aapo.
